Scott Townson and Tim Creque walked away with three top prizes – first place with 2,839 lb. and 11 oz. of carp caught, biggest fish caught at 39 lb. 3 oz. and biggest four with their four heaviest fish weighing in at 134 lb. and 4 oz. The two received a total of $6,000 in winnings.

“I came here with a glimmer in my eye of standing on this stage,” Creque said. “I didn’t think I could make it through.”

The 50-hour tournament ended at 11 a.m. this morning. Throughout the competition, the competitor’s statistics were listed on the American Carp Society’s web site. The organization stopped posting updates earlier this morning to keep the suspense of who the winners were.
